Since the 28th of December 1982. Born in Brits where she also grew up as the youngest of 6 children. She found solitude in her art from a very young age. Her eldest brother have always been her motivator to search for her creativity.

After completing her schooling in Brits she moved to Pretoria, to study Fine Arts at the Tshwane University of Technology (Arts campus) and obtained her National Diploma in Fine Arts. Chosen in 2005 as one of the 100 artists to exhibit at the Pretoria Art Museum for the Sasol New Signatures Art Competition. Currently a full time mom, artist, online Art Tutor @ Preply and Art teacher at Anja's Art Club, teaching all ages. My mission is to encourage artists to bloom. Nature, colour and emotions are her tools to express. She is a portrait artist, creating commisions in various mediums from photo's, capturing the subject's essence and character.

Her conceptual art and illustrations are more of a rebellion, her escape from reality. Her concept art is nostalgia and the wants and needs of women. Anja's art is to obtain the subtle mixture of emotions and the somatic.
