EKA RUKHADZE
SPECIALIZES IN: MIXED MEDIA AND SCULPTURES
Eka Rukhadze, Georgian surrealist self-educated artist, born in 1970, discovered myself in
illusory contiguity with eternal fight between fits and endured feelings; the series of my works
depicting miraculous world tinged with peculiar controversial inspirations. My artistic
metamorphosis flew thru incompatible directions of art finally shaped in current surrealistic
works, fulfilled in ink, watercolor, acrylic and oil. They are mainly made in realistic manner
bearing a flavor of a dreamy impression mirrored in burning fairy characters. I'm highly
influenced by the renaissance medieval culture and French impressionism, as well as by the
ancient Aztec, African, Greek, Indian, Japanese and Roman history and art. Often, I derive
inspiration from the flashes of sudden images arising in mind being finally framed in casuistic
tuneful compositions.
